B1A4’s Jung Jin Young and TWICE’s Kim Da Hyun are confirmed to star together in one film.
On June 10, it was officially confirmed that Jung Jin Young and Kim Da Hyun will be the main leads of the upcoming Korean version of the 2011 Taiwanese film You Are the Apple of My Eye.
The Korean version of You Are the Apple of My Eye will be produced by STUDIO TAKE and Jayuro Pictures. The production house also released the first photos of Jung Jin Young and Kim Da Hyun, revealing that they had already begun filming early this month.
The upcoming movie will showcase the first love and a young romance between the school’s troublemaker and a model student who has to monitor the troublemaker.
Jung Jin Young will portray the role of Jin Woo. He is a troublemaker in school but will eventually mature as he experiences his first love. The idol actor shared his thoughts on being part of the upcoming film, “I’m glad to be part of the film that I loved dearly. I will do my best to bring out the emotion of the film.”
Kim Da Hyun will portray the role of Sun Ah, the shy yet strong model student that everyone has a crush on. Kim Da Hyun also shared her thoughts on starring in the film, “It’s an honor to greet viewers and fans through a great film. I will do my best to produce a good film with great teamwork with my seniors.”
With just the announced casting, there were already calls from overseas producers to release the films in their countries.
You Are the Apple of My Eye will continuously film within the year. The release date of the upcoming movie is still undecided.
